First birthdays are really special. It’s a pretty big day – especially for us moms. It’s a big wake up that our tiny, perfect, wonderful little babies are growing up. For the babies themselves, it’s a great day with cake, attention, and presents. Overall, a really great time for everyone.
For Jonah, it was an extra special day because he was in the Magic Kingdom with his mom to celebrate. I was invited to come and take some photos to commemorate this day and the pictures are kind of perfect.
As I’m sure you discovered as soon as you landed on this website, I’m a huge disney fan. I love the magic and wonder that exists there. Who would have thought that a place could hold so much mystery and excitment?
Taking pictures for Jonah’s first birthday at Magic Kingdom was so much fun. As you can tell from the photos, he was such a happy baby. One simple look at his mom and he would just laugh.
A Disney trip is such a great way to celebrate these milestones. The Magic Kingdom has so many activities for everyone in the family. You may be wondering, “Why should I take a one year old to Magic Kingdom? They won’t remember anything.”
There are a few answers to that question.
The first is that there are plenty of ways to make memories for you as a parent. Your child might not remember all their laughs, giggles, smiles, excited points at Disney characters or the way they clapped at the fireworks. . . but you will.
There are so many things that young children can do at Magic Kingdom. Some of these include the Jungle Cruise, Winnie the Pooh and the Little Mermaid Under the Sea event. Plus, at one year old, children are at the prime of sensory development. Exposure to colours, sounds, music and visual stimulation all helps them grow as humans.
For Jonah, we hit up the Magic Kingdom Castle to get some awesome pictures.
Whether it’s a small intimate celebration or you are fortunate enough to be able to go to a place like Magic Kingdom, make sure to take the time to celebrate these milestones. They in themselves are a type of magic, too.
