Steckle Farm offers couples a serene backdrop for there wedding day and I love that is practically in my backyard. I live only a few minutes drive from this wonderful Kitchener wedding venue and really enjoy working here. So where do I begin with this love story of Mike & Kailana? You see, Mike and I have been friends for many many years and I was thrilled to hear when he and Kailana got engaged. I was secretly hoping that they would ask me to capture their special day. The couple tied the knot this past weekend on Saturday August 13, 2016 with 120 of their family and friends. For the days leading up to the wedding, I am pretty sure we were all watching the weather network with a careful eye. Mother nature was calling for thundershowers all day. I am so happy to say that the rain held off long enough for us to do all our photos outside on the grounds of Steckle Heritage Farm. Sadly, the ceremony did get moved into the barn, but no love was lost there. The ceremony was absolutely perfect. Some laughs were had and tears were shed and these two became husband and wife. Mike, you had the most perfect reaction to seeing Kailana make her way down the aisle to you. Not going to lie, it was hard for me to hold back my own tears.
When the ceremony was done we made out way outside for some more photos. Mother nature decided to bless us with a stunning double rainbow in which we made sure we got a photo with. Overall this wedding was a ton of fun! The bride was completely breathtaking and their connection in front of the camera was undeniable. Kailana & Mike, thank you for letting me play such a special role on your wedding day at Steckle Farm. I hope you both have a fantastic honeymoon.
