There is no shortage of amazing Banff wedding venues, so we have composed a small but mighty life of some of the favourites. Ready? Let’s go!
This world-famous luxurious “Castle in the Mountains’ will make for the perfect backdrop for your wedding event, no matter the size. Set in the middle of the valley and minutes from Downtown Banff, this location will give your guests an opportunity to enjoy all this town has to offer. From fantastic dining, entertainment and more. However, this venue has many beautiful spaces available for your wedding ceremony or an intimate reception. All offer different styles and views of the Bow Valley as well. You can view the Fairmont Banff Spring Wedding Brochure here!
Personally, this Banff area wedding venue is near and dear to our hearts. When we were in our younger years we did work and live at this gorgeous mountain resort in Kananaskis Country. This mountain resort is a one-hour drive from Calgary and 40 minutes from Banff. Boasting both stunning indoor and outdoor venue options, this resort will be sure to have something you desire. Hosting a small elopement or a large-scale wedding of up to 400 guests. Bonus, the nordic spa that is located on the property is the perfect way to unwind before or after your wedding day.
The views alone from this wedding location are enough to make you want to just stay forever! Seriously, bring a blanket, book and a little picnic for a quiet relaxing day. Not only is Tunnel Mountain an excellent ceremony location for your Banff wedding, the Buffalo Mountain Lodge, but is also just down the street for excellent reception spaces. This venue is ideal for small and intimate weddings in Banff, so if you are looking to elope or host under 100 guests, this is your spot!
This location is located right inside Banff National Park on your way from Calgary. Open year-round and easily accessible, it is a great location for those who want excellent mountain views, running creeks and easy access. I would suggest this location more for a mountain elopement or a small intimate wedding of 30 or fewer guests. Cascade Ponds is stunning no matter which season you would like to have your wedding in Banff. Although, I would say my favourite is the fall when all the trees start changing colour. Also, the evening sun casts a beautiful sunset on Cascade Mountain.
Just a short ride up the mountain via the Banff Gondola will take you to the most magical venue views at the Sky Bistro. Overlooking the town of Banff in the distance, you can host your intimate wedding either indoors or outdoors on their patio. One thing you must know about this venue is that it is only available from mid-October through May. I should also mention that the food at Sky Bistro is absolutely delightful and always a must when we head up the gondola.
While these are just a few options, we wanted to list a few more for you to take a peek through.
There truly is are Banff wedding venues for every style of wedding, no matter what you envision for your special day. So be sure to spend a day touring the town and finding which wedding venue matches your wedding style best.
