Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, Ontario is a very cool place. With so many great textures like brick, steel and wood it offered endless backdrops for this Toronto engagement session. I do not travel into Toronto very often for engagement sessions or weddings but sure am glad I did. Kate and Jesse are local to Toronto. However, Jesse is originally from Kitchener, Ontario and Kate, Toronto. They met in University in Waterloo, Ontario. They have since made their way back to the city life. While they live the city life, they have chosen to have their rustic wedding in Kitchener at Steckle Heritage Farm this summer. I had asked they why they chose a farm as their wedding venue since they are city people. The answer was simple, they just fell in love with it when they did a walk through. Which I totally get, it is an awesome venue.
We started their engagement session up on the hilltop where we could get a overview look of the Toronto city scape. This was not too far from where the actual proposal took place. It really made for a great backdrop. After that, we headed back down to Evergreen Brick Works where we roamed the empty market bays. As previously mentioned, there were endless amounts of textures to work with. I think my favourite backdrop was when we went indoors and shot by the window. The natural light really made for some great portraits and dimension. We finished out session back out in the forum of the market. With some snuggles, giggles and casual hand holding, Kate and Jesse’s Evergreen Brick Works engagement session came to an end.
I had the most fun on this session and I can not wait until their wedding in July. They will absolutely be a stunning couple in their wedding attire. Until next time guys.
