The Little Inn in Bayfield, ON is where this love story takes place. In this quaint little Ontario town lies this beautiful Inn. I will say that this Ontario wedding venue was the perfect location for this couple. It was a perfect mix of charm and elegance, both in which are true representations of the couple as well. I remember the first time I met James & Erynn and how great our conversation was. It was natural and easy and I remember driving home after our consultation and thinking about how badly I was looking forward to their wedding. Their connection and vibes were definitely something I wanted to capture. Let me tell you, their wedding day did not disappoint in the least! Although the day was a little chilly and wet, it really was a perfect fall wedding day. It was very overcast but I really feel like it added some great dimension to the final images.
My day began with the little drive from Kitchener to Bayfield. When I arrived at The Little Inn I headed straight for the bridal suite where I found the ladies finishing up their hair and makeup. I started with all the detail photos from the dress, florals and jewellery. From there I spent a little bit of time with the guys in their suite upstairs. But first, my husband went and captured the guys down at the Black Dog Village Pub & Bistro. Where they were having a few pints.
Erin and James decided to do a first look before there ceremony. It was a very exciting and intimate moment. As Erynn made her way out the front door she wore a very big smile on her face. The suspense was killing me as she made her way to James. With a little tap on his shoulder, he turned around and took his first glances are his bride to be. It was a very endearing moment that I was happy to capture.
While guests were beginning to arrive at the Old Train Station in Goderich for the ceremony, we spent time wandering Bayfield’s main street making memories with many laughs along the way. Under the weeping willow and under the falling maple leaves we created some beautiful images that Erynn and James can cherish for a lifetime.
Soon it was time for the ceremony. It was intimate and sweet. With the exchanging of vows and the placement of rings, these two became husband and wife. But with the signing of the license, it became official. Now it was time to party! I spent the evening capturing lots of candids of the couple mingling with their guests. They had some lovely toasts, cut the cake and did their first dance surrounded by their family and friends.
But, before the night was over, we were blessed with a stunning sunset. Although the clouds covered the majority of the sun I feel like it made for some emotional images. Some of which was my favourite from the whole day. In the end, this couple had a beautiful wedding and they will have great images to share with their families for a lifetime.
