Magnolia Plantation, this Charleston, South Carolina wedding venue was breathtaking. Seriously, pictures do not do this place justice. This Charleston wedding venue is full of rustic charm, romance and picturesque backdrops. This was my first time to the state of South Carolina. I am pretty sure it will not be my last. I fell in love with all the southern charm that this historic city has to offer. Our day began with the ladies getting ready at the Inn at Middleton Place. A quant little inn a short distance from the Magnolia Plantation. This location was unique all in its own right. The architecture and vibe of this Inn was like none I have ever seen before. It was pretty rad. The girls decided to exchange gifts with each other. This is a rather new tradition that I love to see at weddings. Heather gifted Amira with a new set of pearl earrings. While Amira gifted Heather with a new diamond bracelet. Both gifts were the perfect final touches to their wedding day attire.
Soon it was ceremony time. The location was chosen right beside the Ashley River under a lovely moss filled tree. It was beautiful. I remember the lighting being drool worthy as well. The sunset was casting the perfect light. The flower girl did a beautiful job sprinkling the petals down the aisle for Heather and her mother. It was a lovely moment watching Amira swipe a tear from her eye as she watched Heather make her way down the aisle. The girls did a celtic hand tying ceremony as well. It really is nice to see couples include unique moments to their ceremonies. Soon it was time to exchange their vows. Place a ring on each others fingers and seal it with a kiss. They did it! They were officially wife and wife.
The couple shared a lovely dinner with their guests, played the fun shoe game, enjoyed their first dance as a married couples and cut a cake to seal the deal. This couple are sure to last a lifetime. The love these two ladies share was so refreshing to witness. It clearly made my job easy to capture. I can only hope that I will see these girls again sometime in the near future.
