What can I say about this Now Larimar Punta Cana wedding? How about, it was epic. Our week began with a super fun group catamaran trip thanks to Renny Travel. Kate & Raf arranged this as a thank you to everyone for making the trip down to Now Larimar for their wedding. What fun we had on this boat. At one point, Kate was even driving the boat. It was a fun three hours, filled with sun, booze and swimming. Did I mention dancing? We had a lot of fun doing that as well. The weather that day could not have been any more perfect. Needless to say, it was the perfect start to this wedding week in Punta Cana.
A couple days later, it was wedding day in the Dominican Republic. Also, another beautiful day. We spent the morning having some breakfast and prepping our gear before heading out to meet the couple. Jeremy was off to meet with Raf and the guys. While I was off to spend some quality time with the ladies.
As always, the energy on wedding days is always on point. Tunes are going jamming with laughter in the back ground. The girls had decided to do their hair/makeup at the resort before we made our way down to the reception space where the bridal suite was. You see, Kate & Raf had decided to host their wedding off site and down the beach at Huracan Cafe. So this is where the majority of the days event would take place.
But, before we left. I made sure to have the girls jump on the bed. Was it the best idea? I think so. When Kate took off and the girls started to jump, the bed made the most crazy sound I thought we had broke it. However, the bed survived and the images we got were hilarious. I think Kate’s face says it all.
Kate and Raf decided to do a first look before the ceremony. And if you have read my past blogs you will know that I am a huge fan of couples doing them. Its a great way to get past those wedding day nerves. With Raf in place, I called for Kate to come join us. When Raf turned around it was the sweetest moment. These two are adorable together. Both full of life and love.
Before the ceremony began, we spent some time doing some formal photos. Kate also chose to do a first look with her parents. She had got them some very lovely gifts as well. Embroidered handkerchiefs. One for mom and one for dad. Before we knew it, it was time to get married.
The ceremony was beautiful. Some tears were shed. Vows were exchanged and rings were placed on each others fingers. They did it. And in ever marital fashion, they sealed it with a kiss. With an applause from their guests, the two danced their way back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Under the string lights on the beach, the newlyweds shared in their first dance. It was a surprise to everyone that they took dance lessions for a fun choreographed performance. Just like the pair of them, it was fun and exciting.
As the night went on, we enjoyed a nice seaside dinner. Toasts from family and some yummy cake. I think it is safe to say that we had the most wonderful day in Punta Cana for their wedding day. Congratulations again to Kate & Raf.
