One year anniversary sessions are always a lot of fun. It is a great time to celebrate all the joys you have had during your first year of marriage. When Amanda reached out to me about booking a Disney portrait session for her and Alex’s one year anniversary I was so excited. We quickly got to planning all the important details, starting with location.
The couple chose Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. A very popular location for many of my clients and for good reason. But on this day, mother nature had it out for us. The session started with some sun but soon, the good ol Florida floodgates would open. Thankfully, there are some great awnings attached to Jellyrolls that we were able to take shelter under and continue shooting.
The Best Part:
At one point, the rain and win got the best of us. We took better shelter and waited it out. While waiting, we were blessed with a beautiful double rainbow. Soon, the rain had ended and we began our session again. This time, many of the people that were on the boardwalk had cleared out and we had the place to ourselves it seemed.
We took our time strolling up and down the boardwalk stopping for photos at the photo booth and in front of Amples Ice Cream shop. This ice cream is delicious if you have ever had it before, I highly suggest going. From there, we wandered back over to the grassy area and had some fun running and twirling and sneaking in some more kisses.
I mean after all it is an anniversary session. Overall, mother nature did not get the best of us. We got some amazing photos and I think the rain made the lighting even better. Amanda and Alex it was so nice to meet you and I look forward to seeing you both again soon.
