This was my first time doing an engagement session at Osgoode Hall in downtown Toronto. When Alex, Nana and I were trying to find a location for their session I will admit I turned to other photographers as Toronto is not a regular place I do sessions. I am so happy that someone suggested this location, and I think the couple was too. Osgoode Hall is a Law School in Toronto. It has a beautiful staircase that leads into a beautiful foyer inside. The gardens out front were well groomed and maintained. This was also my first time meeting this beautiful couple in person. You see, they do not live in Ontario. Up until this point we had only ever spoke via email. I was so happy that our personalities meshed well and we had a great session together. Not only was the location stunning, but the weather was perfect. I loved that they started this session in Nana’s home countries traditional clothing. It was a great way to show the bond of nations. Nana’s background is from Africa, the country of Ghana. Once we got through some photos in those outfits, they turned it up a notch. They went and got all fashionista on me. Not gonna lie, I loved it! They were both looking smoking hot and rocked the rest of the session like they were on a fashion runaway in New York City. I really loved how they connect. It is so clear how much they care and adore each other. Simply by the way he would look at her when she walked, or his silly faces and things he would say. They were both so completely smitten with each other. I was so excited for their wedding day only a few days later. They had a beautiful wedding at the Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener. That blog post will be sure to follow soon!
