When two dear friends ask you to photograph their destination wedding in Jamaica, it is truly an honour. When it’s two people you really like, you jump at the chance! This was the case for Olivia and Chris. I was so thrilled when Liv asked me to capture their wedding day. I mean, I love photographing weddings in general, but there is some added magic to the day when you get to witness dear friends become husband and wife. Together with their family and friends, they jetted down to the beautiful island of Jamaica this month to celebrate their marriage. With their 3 children in tow and one vary fluffy wedding gown, they left Toronto Pearson International for Montego Bay. Although I did not fly down with them, I was very excited to arrive at the Jewel Runaway Bay and hang out with the wedding group.
May 4, 2017, it’s wedding day, and I was so excited when I woke up that morning. My morning started with the groom, Chris, and his groomsman. I must say that I was very happily pleased when we showed up to the suite with every man nicely showered, clean shaven, and the room was tidy. They nailed it! As per usual the guys were full of laughs and shenanigans. Not to say the multiple cans of Red Stripe had anything to do with that. Liv also gifted her groom with a lovely new Guess watch, which looked incredible on Chris and matched his outfit perfectly. From there, I headed over to join the ladies in their nice big ocean view suite. When I arrived, my other dear friend, Chanel of Chanel Brieanne Hair, was still working on the girls hair. With the help of her friend Angie, the girls looked stunning for the ceremony. Liv looked absolutely stunning in her drop waist styled bridal gown. The cathedral length veil was the icing on the cake. Before we knew it, it was time for a beachfront wedding ceremony.
During the day there were many laughs shared, tears were shed and everyone was happy. A couple of great people became husband and wife. There was no better place to celebrate these two and their new journey together. Liv and Chris, I wish you both nothing but years of happiness and love. I cherish the both of you to pieces and can only hope that one day we can head to another tropical destination for your vow renewal. Cheers to you both. xoxo
