Travelling to Disneyland, CA

Travelling for engagement sessions and weddings is for the most part, apart of my monthly schedule. I can always be found jetting from location to location to capture my clients’ special events and this one was no different. For this Disneyland engagement session, my journey began in Orlando, Florida. Where at the time, I was at Walt Disney World for a two-week vacation with my family. On December 11 I boarded my Southwest Airlines flight and headed for the west coast, specifically, Anaheim, California. After a quick layover in Sacramento, I was soon on my way to the Santa Ana Airport. This is where I would first meet this lovely couple. You see up until this point we were only internet pals. They were ever so gracious to pick me up from the airport which is where our story begins.

As we made our way from the Airport to the Disneyland parking garage we made talk about the wedding and our excitement for our trip to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Which is where these two are set to wed in June 2019. The closer we got to the entrance to Disneyland my excitement rose. It has been six years since I visited this magical place. When we finally arrived on main street USA I could not wait to start photographing their session. It was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. The photos do not do it justice. We immediately made our way towards the castle and started there.

Although there were thousands of people in the park we did our best to navigate the busy walkways and find some great nooks and crannies to make it feel as if we had the place to ourselves. I should also make mention we had a beautiful sunset which allowed for some gorgeous backlight that was so dreamy. With a spin on the teacups and lots of kisses, we had a lot of fun capturing these moments. I can say that travelling 20 hours roundtrip from Orlando to Anaheim was well worth it.
