There is no better way to describe this Walper Hotel wedding, other than fun! The entire day was filled with so much love, excitement and joy. Oh, and a touch of Disney magic of course. You see, Dana and David are avid Disney goers and are truly kids at heart. Their love for their family, friends and life, is contagious. A perfect match, if you ask me.
Our day with Dana and David began with getting ready at the Walper Hotel. It was just the two of them getting ready together. It was a very calm and happy environment, and these two were just so dang happy for it to finally be their wedding day. It wasn’t long after we were there until their wedding party showed up. They chose to have 1 person each stand up with them. I love it when couples opt to keep their wedding party size small, just a personal preference I suppose. They helped with guys with their final detail, the boutonnière. I always get a kick out of watching people try to put these things on. In their defence, they can be quick tricky if you never have done it before.
Dana and David wanted to do all their photos before the ceremony so that they would be able to attend all of their cocktail hour with their guests. So we hit the town and got some really fun shots of the two of them and with their wedding party. We made sure to visit Geddes Lane and the rooftop of the parking garage, before heading back to the Walper Hotel for the wedding celebration.
Before the ceremony, Dana took a moment to place a photo frame and boutonniere on a chair. The frame contained a photo of his Father who had passed. It was not long until the ceremony was well on its way. Dana and David decided to write their vows and I am pretty sure there was not a dry eye in the entire room. The love this couple shares is so beautiful.
Cocktail hour was where it was at! The drinks were flowing and the sounds of laughter filled all the spaces on the second level of the Walper Hotel. They spent their time mingling with all their family and friends. It was such a relaxed space and everyone was having the best evening. One thing this couple did was welcome all of their guests into the reception space. It was a great time to get images of them with everyone who attended in a very natural way.
I may be biased, but my favourite part was the dessert table! It was filled with fun Disney-themed desserts. A perfect blend of Disney and sweets. The evening was spent listening to wonderful words shared by the couple’s families, delicious foods and dancing.
