This Castaway Cay Wedding at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas was wonderful. Not only was this our first cruise wedding, it was also our first time on Disney Cruise Line! Being well seasoned at vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resorts we knew we were in for top notch service on the Disney Dream ship, but we have no idea as much more awesome it would be! I can not thank Danusia and Brendan enough for bringing me along with them to photograph their destination wedding at Castaway Cay.
Our day began with the slow and easy with getting ready in the rooms with both the bride and groom and their wedding party. This by far wast the most laid back couple I have had I think ever in my career as a destination wedding photographer. It was a very go with the flow style wedding which I was totally ok with. They had their ceremony at Pelican Point with the Disney Dream ship in the background with 40 of their family and friends in attendance. The little ring bearer totally rocked his job carrying the sand pail down the aisle and looked absolutely adorable in his suspenders and Mickey Mouse bow tie.
The ceremony was short and sweet and filled with happy smiles and laughter. The weather was absolutely perfect and I could not have been happier for the both of them. After the ceremony we went back on board the ship for a champaign toast and the most delicious cake I think I have ever eaten followed by some more formal photos in some new attire. When we were all finished we all took to the island to enjoy some fun in the sun. I can only wait until my next Disney Cruise Line Wedding and hope it comes sooner than later. It was an absolute dream (pun intended) and I am so thankful for the opportunity to have shared in their wedding day. I hope you love the images as much as I do.
