Family Lifestyle: London & Parents

This adorable little girl, Lo short for London, is brought to you by the oh so lovely Britt and her dashing hubby Fil! This past fall I met with this sweet little family in Kitchener at Huron Natural Area. While this Kitchener photo location is super popular, it is a great spot for family photography.

If I must say so, London looked absolutely adorable in her pink tulle dress and matching ribbon headband. The best part of working with toddlers is we had a lot of fun trying to keep Lo in 1 spot long enough to snag her photo in the first place. But with proper distraction techniques like, look at the Bird or playing peek a boo with Dad behind the camera, we managed to get some great shots.

While I love focusing on the littles, I think getting some full family photos are always important when it comes to lifestyle family photography. I mean, who wouldn’t want some family photos with more than your neck up, put that cell phone down parents and GET IN THE PHOTOS!

Since this session, I have documented many wonderful moments in their lives. From the maternity session with their second daughter Sophia, and a fun indoor play session with both girls, I love working with the same clients year after year and watching their kids grow.

While I wouldn’t call myself a full fledged fam photographer, as I do document many weddings as well every year, documentary fam photography is growing on me and I love the playfulness that it brings into my life. Kids absolutely keep me on my toes and make the job extra fun.
