While most couples tend to wish away the rain on their wedding day, some couples choose to dance in it. Rainy wedding days can add a different type of magic and romance, especially when you are at one of the city’s most luxurious wedding venues.
Katelyn and Nick planned their summer wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, ON. This is one of the top venues with Pearle Weddings and for good reason. It’s modern elegance and natural light is absolutely stunning. This spot literally has the best view of the sunset I have ever seen at a local wedding venue. But let’s jump back into Katelyn and Nick’s wedding day.
Rainy it was. However; this couple was so amped for their day that it did not put a damper on things in the least. Our day began with getting ready with the ladies. Mimosas were flowing and the music was bumping when I arrived. The party had begun. Meanwhile, over at Nick’s, the guys were out shooting hoops around the pool, puffing on cigars and having a great time as well.
They opted to do a first look at Whistle Bear before the ceremony, along with all formal photos of the wedding party. Because their wedding day had restrictions, our timeline together was a little different than it would normally be. But hey, it worked out so well. I really loved how Pearle Weddings worked with their couples during this time to ensure that couples were still getting the weddings they envisioned to include most of the typical wedding formalities.
After the ceremony, the couple had all their guests stay in the ceremony location to watch their first dance. They also were able to have all their toasts take place in the outdoor ceremony pavilion. Once they were finished with all that, Katelyn and Nick gave their thank you toast to their guests. The best part was when Nick pulled out a bubble wand from his jacket during their toast. It made for a good chuckle during their rainy wedding.
Overall, a little rain will never take away from the fact that you still get to marry your best friend. Sure we will have to find some new spots for photos or make minor changes to the timeline to make it work, but that’s for us to worry about.
I hope you enjoy scrolling through this rainy-day wedding.
