Storehouse 408 is where Melissa and Luke were married on July 9, 2021. They met long before that, though, in the summer before Grade 9. In fact, Melissa got his MSN, she would talk to him there. (Remember MSN???)
Turns out, these two fell head over heels for each other. The rest is history and 12 years later, they were getting hitched.
They got ready at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Center. The day began with the girls getting ready. Melissa had gotten her own room separate from her bridesmaids because she wanted some peace and quite while she got ready for the day. It worked out nicely for photos of just her and her mom and sister. We did join the bridesmaids for some fun photos, though.
The three of them had their hair (done by Chanel) and makeup (done by Crystal) done together and they helped her get her dress on.
Her gown was BEAUTIFUL! From the moment I saw it hanging I new it would look gorgeous on. Obviously, her bridesmaids completely agreed with me.
The gown was from Creme Couture in Guelph, Ontario.
Melissa and her dad did a first look which had me in tears. The emotion was so raw and wonderful and it just bled into the rest of the day (just wait for the ceremony pictures).
Luke and his groomsmen were at the same hotel, also getting ready. They didn’t have champaign or GASPS at his outfit, but they were a fun bunch and looked very handsome when all dressed up. Luke was so present throughout this entire day and you could tell he was just so ready for this step.
The couple wanted to have as much time with their guests as possible. Because of this, we did individual portraits before the ceremony to get those out of the way. They didn’t do a first look because they wanted to save that moment for the ceremony.
The ceremony was so beautiful. The emotion in the air was palpable. There was no doubt how full of love these two are for each other.
It was simple, sweet, beautiful, lovely, and just heartfelt.
We took some photos just the two of them and then headed to Jacobs Landing in Hespeler to take some photos too before doing some group photos. We did some fun int the street stuff with the girls and the guys went to Four Fathers Brewing for some pictures.
Then we all rendezvoused at Storehouse 408 for the reception. Their first dance as husband and wife was followed by mother-son and father-daughter dance and then they went right into the speeches.
Overall, this day was very sweet, very fun and it was super special to be attending it and capturing it for them. Wanna see more beautiful wedding images? Check out Becky and Jeff’s wedding in Banff National Park here.
