Spring fever was absolutely in the air for this early morning engagement session. Although it may be officially spring, today was a little bit on the cool side. However, that did not stop us from having a great engagement session today.
Everyone meet Rachel & Wes. This lovely couple is set to wed next month in Tuscany. And I could not be more excited for them. But guests what? This gal gets to go along with them! To say I am excited would be a true understatement. I first met Rachel and Wes after a previous wedding client recommended me to them. When we first met it was like we had always known each other. We hit it off right away. I was so thrilled when they asked my husband and I to come with them all the way to Italy to capture their destination wedding.
But today was all about their engagement session. Rachel was really wanting an overcast morning and some light fog. Although mother nature did not deliver on the fog, we did end up with beautiful lighting for their session. We spent about half an hour on this steel bridge in Winterbourne, Ontario. Once finished with that, we made our way down toward a fence line. And to our surprise, a beautiful horse photobombed our session. Which was a lot of fun.
When we were done at this location, Wes had mentioned that there was a field along the route that had caught Rachel’s eye. So we made our way there. I am so glad we did. The field was pure magic and some of my favourite photos from the session. This spring engagement session turned our so well and I can only imagine the magic we will create in Tuscany, Italy next month for their wedding day. Rachel & Wes, thanks so much for a fun morning and I can’t wait to see you again in Italy for your destination wedding.
[…] Favola Umbra was exactly what I dreamt Italy would look like. The textures, the colours, the landscape. It was so dreamy. I still remember the day that I received the inquiry for this wedding. It was a referral from a past wedding client. And I will be forever grateful for them. When I first met Rachel & Wes we completely hit it off. It was like we had ben friends forever. I was so excited when they officially decided to bring my husband and I along with them for their destination wedding in Italy. We did their engagement session in April and Rachel had some big hopes for the style of the session. Thankfully we were graced with exactly what she wanted. Early morning, fog and overcast. Not gonna lie, when she mentioned this, I was unsure of the vision. But once we picked the location and they came dressed to impressed, it totally worked. It was actually perfect. Maybe one of my favourite engagement sessions so far. You can see that session here. […]
Beautiful photos! I absolutely love that bridge.
