Victoria Park in Elora, Ontario is the backdrop for this elopement. It is a small town full of life and this elopement story is no different. Although a little rainy at times, it was perfect. I was first contacted by the couple a couple weeks before their elopement. They asked if I was available to come to Elora and capture their family and newlywed portraits in an around the Elora Mill and Elora Gorge. I agreed and I am so glad I did.
When I arrived at Victoria Park in Elora, I parked at the municipal building just off the main street and walked into the park in search of their party. I found them near the back of the park in the forest near the gorge overhang. At this point the rain was holding off so we jumped right into family portraits. We breezed through photos and sent family on their way to the Elora Mill where they were to indulge in a delicious meal together.
While the guests made their way to the Mill, we spent some time dancing in the forest, taking in the views and creating some magical moments. Just when we thought we were done, we starting walking back towards main street when we came across this little home. The home was surrounded by greenery and had a nice brown fence and just looked so quaint. I immediately asked to stop for some photos. It was then that the rain started to come. Although I may be biased, I LOVE the umbrella photos. I mean, what is more romantic than some rainy day snuggles and kissing in the rain? It is where all great Nicholas Sparks movies direct to as well right?
After a couple hours with this beautiful couple I made the drive back to Kitchener. I hope they had the best day celebrating with their family and friends at the Elora Mill. I can only imagine it would be as beautiful as any other Pearl Wedding venue like this Whistle Bear Wedding.
